Looking through a Russian dating site the other day and saw a woman and she was totally beautiful. My friend say's don't even go there because its a big con and is it?

basically I've been writing to a couple of ladies from Russia who are looking for a long term relationship…..but it has reached the point of meeting here in the UK and they are both asking for money? I'm unsure about their genuine or
