Russian dating site ElenasModels.com released survey results "What Men Want in a Wife" conducted among men seeking relationships and marriage using online dating services. According to the survey, 25% of men select loyalty as #1 quality they seek in a wife.

list top three qualities they want in a future marriage partner. According to the survey, #1 quality men want in a wife is "Loyalty", which was selected by over 25% of the site's male clients from the list of 50 qualities men want in a woman. The respondents to the survey were located in the USA, Australia, Canada, UK, Europe and other western countries, with the majority of respondents coming from the Northern America.

The results of this online focus group were processed into the list of top 50 qualities mentioned by the majority of the survey respondents. In the second stage of the survey men were asked to choose #1 quality they wanted in a wife from this list, and loyalty came as the indisputable leader with over 25% of men selecting it as their #1 quality they wanted in a wife.

The second choice for the #1 quality men want in a wife was "loving/loves me" with 15% of men rating it as the most important thing they want in a woman. The third choice was "honest" with 10% of men rating it as #1 quality they want in a wife.

This was a change from the results of the focus group, where one of the top 3 qualities mentioned by men as what they seek in a wife was "beauty/looks" with 42% of respondents mentioning it as one of the top 3 qualities they wanted in a woman. Other top qualities mentioned in the focus group by the Russian dating site's clients were "honest" (mentioned by 49% of men) and "faithful/loyal" (mentioned by 34% of men), which both made the top 3 in the follow up survey; however, "beauty and looks" dropped significantly in rankings when men were presented with the list of 50 qualities to select from.
